Abstract
Au Sénégal, le patriarcat continue à construire et à légitimer socialement et religieusement la sous-représentation des femmes dans les médias. L’auteure essaie de montrer comment les idées héritées de la colonisation et perpétuées par les autorités sénégalaises depuis 1960, combinées au poids des traditions, mettent les femmes « sous silence ». Basée sur une démarche qualitative, l’étude tente de décortiquer toute la complexité entourant le silence des femmes dans les médias, une attitude qui dépasse largement les limites de la sphère médiatique.
