Coopératives de production : quelle spécificité du rapport social d’activités coopératif à l’aune du rapport salarial ?

Abstract
Cet article analyse les coopératives de production en questionnant leur capacité à produire un rapport social d’activités relativement autonome et protecteur vis-à-vis du rapport salarial dominant. En prenant appui sur les travaux régulationnistes consacrés au rapport salarial et au rapport social d’activité, nous proposons une lecture basée sur la conceptualisation d’un « rapport social d’activités coopératif » spécifique, fondé sur le principe de double qualité. Il se caractérise par quatre composantes principales : 1) la futurité ; 2) la gouvernance ; 3) l’organisation du travail ; 4) les revenus et mutualisations. À travers une relecture historique et la mise en lumière de faits stylisés, nous considérons l’évolution historique du « rapport social d’activités coopératif » dans les coopératives de production en France, au regard de l’évolution du rapport salarial. Trois principales périodes sont dégagées : 1815-1910 avec un « rapport social d’activités coopératif » alternatif à l’émergence du salariat ; 1910-1980 avec son assimilation dans la société salariale ; enfin à partir des années 1980 avec le retour d’un idéal contournant la subordination salariale. Au regard de cette lecture théorique et historique du « rapport social d’activités coopératif », nous questionnons sa capacité à produire des formes de protection et de sécurisation salariale au sein de l’entreprise face à un rapport salarial de plus en plus précaire. Nous mettons finalement en discussion le fait que la gouvernance démocratique serait non seulement un élément clé de différenciation du « rapport social d’activités coopératif », mais aussi une condition pour produire une protection salariale dans l’entreprise.
