Abstract
RESUMO Este artigo é o desdobramento de uma revisão bibliográfica do tipo integrativa da literatura, cujo principal objetivo é analisar o impacto da educação como instrumento de mobilidade social, levando em conta as concepções de pobreza e desigualdade social, bem como as políticas desenvolvidas com o escopo de garantir e aperfeiçoar a educação, a exemplo da Educação Profissional e Tecnológica. A busca aos estudos sobre o tema resultou na amostra final composta de cinco artigos, obtidos por meio da plataforma SciELO, embora também tenha havido tentativas infrutíferas à base de dados Spell. Os resultados demonstraram que a relação entre a educação, pobreza e desigualdades está pautada em um debate reflexivo e crítico, no sentido de que a educação pode ser sim um elemento decisivo na superação das mazelas sociais, desde que deixe de ser um espaço de privilégios para poucos, e caminhe cada vez mais da direção do seu caráter universal. Embora o trabalho tenha encontrado resultados importantes sobre a temática discutida, algumas lacunas foram observadas nas três principais dimensões ora tratadas nesse estudo. Apontando para possibilidades de estudos voltados para os aspectos quantitativos sobre as implicações concretas da educação para superação da pobreza e da desigualdade social.
