Este estudo trata-se de um recorte da tese de doutorado que está em andamento, pelo Programa de Pós-graduação em Educação Matemática e Tecnológica pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. Para este artigo, a proposta foi analisar os documentos oficiais (PCN, BNCC e RCNEI) e o currículo municipal do Paulista-PE quanto à oferta de ensino de probabilidade para a Educação Infantil, além de, ofertar atividades que proporcione o ensino de probabilidade através do currículo prescrito da Educação Infantil para essa etapa de ensino no município citado. Ao analisar os documentos, foi observado que não há menção alguma desse conteúdo para esse público. Verificamos a fragilidade dos documentos quanto a não explicitar o ensino de probabilidade desde esta etapa de ensino, mas que apesar disso, observamos a possibilidade de desenvolver atividades na perspectiva do letramento probabilístico, garantindo assim uma educação de qualidade.
