Abstract
Zaburzenia psychiczne są powszechne w grupie kandydatów do operacji bariatrycznej, a ich złożony i heterogeniczny charakter uzasadnia przeprowadzenie konsultacji psychologicznej we wstępnym okresie kwalifikacji do chirurgicznego leczenia otyłości.Nieleczone zaburzenia psychiczne mogą być jednym z ważnych czynników wyjaśniających ponowny wzrost masy ciała u pacjentów poddanych operacji bariatrycznej.W celu optymalizacji chirurgicznego leczenia otyłości istotne wydaje się wdrożenie odpowiedniej kwalifikacji psychologicznej w postępowaniu diagnostyczno-terapeutycznym.Szczególnie ważne jest wyodrębnienie takich kandydatów, którzy wymagają rozszerzonego postępowania terapeutycznego, w tym leczenia farmakologicznego i/lub psychoterapeutycznego, przed przystąpieniem do zabiegu.Celem pracy było omówienie przypadku pacjentki z zaburzeniem odżywiania i współwystępującym zaburzeniem osobowości, u której nastąpił nawrót masy ciała po chirurgicznym leczeniu otyłości.
