Abstract
Cette entrée introduit le concept de solastalgie en présentant la littérature au croisement de la psychologie et des humanités environnementales. La solastalgie désigne une forme de détresse qui s’exprime par l’angoisse de voir son milieu de vie (territoire, paysage, habitat, écosystème) disparaitre. Née en grande partie des catastrophes environnementales des cinquante dernières années, cet affect spécifique émane de l’actuel monde commun et ce à partir de la manière dont les personnes vivent leur lieu de naissance ou d’existence et ressentent les effets de sa soudaine transformation. Pour illustrer ce concept encore émergent, cette contribution s’appuie sur de récentes recherches qualitatives et ethnographiques qui montrent, d’une part, les liens entre solastalgie et inégalités sociales et géographiques, et reviennent, d’autre part, sur l’attachement au lieu et sur le sentiment d’appartenance.
