Abstract
Segundo o Ministério da Saúde, a sífilis é uma doença bacteriana infectocontagiosa sistêmica, crônica, tratável e com exclusividade ao ser humano. Quando não tratada, a infecção evolui para alguns estágios, que podem acometer sistemas e órgãos do corpo humano. Seu agente etiológico é o Treponema pallidum subespécie pallidum. Foi descoberto em 1905, pelo Zoologista Fritz Shaundin e o Dermatologista Paul Erich. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de dados, de natureza descritiva, elaborada sob uma abordagem qualitativa, que concede o entendimento sobre o tema, viabilizando a reflexão sobre a incidência de sífilis congênita durante a pandemia, e a realização do pré-natal. Com o objetivo de analisar o aumento de novos casos de sífilis congênita em Ji-Paraná, no período da pandemia, e a dificuldade da realização do pré-natal de qualidade. Trata-se de um estudo epidemiológico, com abordagem quantitativa, de cunho exploratório e descritivo, com dados retrospectivos calcados na base de dados do Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação (SINAN).
