Abstract
Wilayah RT 03, RW 03, Kelurahan Tambakrejo, Kecamatan Simokerto, Kota Surabaya merupakan salah satu RT yang aktif dalam mengembangkan lingkungannya. Terletak di Jalan Tambak Segaran IV dengan jumlah penduduk yang padat dan lebar jalan relatif sempit ±2m. Salah satu cara dalam pengembangan lingkungan adalah dengan budidaya tanaman hidroponik. Instalasi tanaman hidroponik hampir ada di setiap depan rumah warga. Untuk perawatan tanaman hidroponik membutuhkan aliran air mengalir secara terus menerus ±8 jam. Selama ini warga mengaktifkan pompa air dengan menggunakan listrik PLN. Hal ini menjadi salah satu kendala karena biaya listrik dalam satu bulan yang harus dibayarkan relatif memberatkan warga. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut tim pengabdian memberikan wawasan pelatihan dan perancangan sumber listrik dari tenaga surya atau PLTS. Hal ini dibutuhkan untuk menghemat pemakaian listrik PLN secara jangka panjang yang sebelumnya dibebankan pada listrik rumah tangga. Hasil dari pengabdian adalah instalasi tanaman hidroponik dengan pompa air yang aktif menggunakan tenaga surya. Pompa yang digunakan adalah jenis pompa AC dengan daya masing-masing 15 watt, inverter yang dibutuhkan 100 watt dengan panel surya berukuran 150Wp. BCR yang dipilih berukuran 15A dan accu sesuai analisis perhitungan sebesar 10AH.
