Abstract
Celem pracy jest przedstawienie założeń teorii przywiązania oraz pokazanie, jak style przywiązania mogą przejawiać się w sytuacji choroby zagrażającej życiu.Opisane zostały elementy charakterystyczne dla każdego stylu przywiązania (bezpiecznego, unikającego, ambiwalentnego i zdezorganizowanego) oraz trudności, które przejawiają się w kontaktach pomiędzy pacjentem, członkami jego rodziny oraz członkami zespołu medycznego.Praca została przygotowana na podstawie literatury dotyczącej teorii przywiązania w kontekście opieki paliatywnej, badań z dziedziny psychologii, jak i doświadczeń zdobytych w pracy z pacjentami.Przytaczane pozycje odnoszą się do obserwowalnych związków pomiędzy stylem przywiązania a zdrowiem fizycznym i psychicznym w dorosłości, jakością życia oraz relacjami pomiędzy pacjentami a zespołem medycznym.Przedstawiono również zalecenia dotyczące kontaktu z pacjentem i członkami jego rodziny, które mogą zwiększać poczucie bezpieczeństwa w relacji i przyczyniać się do lepszej adaptacji do sytuacji choroby.
