Abstract
O artigo apresenta resultados de uma pesquisa que objetivou comparar situações vivenciadas por instituições de ensino superior público situadas no interior da Amazônia brasileira e no Porto, Portugal, no enfrentamento da pandemia do SARS-CoV-2 e conhecer impactos nos processos de ensino-aprendizagem. Do ponto de vista metodológico, foram entrevistados gestores e docentes de quatro cursos das quatro instituições existentes. A análise de conteúdo dos discursos dos entrevistados permitiu saber que a educação mediada pelas tecnologias digitais foi uma solução para atividades teóricas, ou para reuniões diversas, mas não para componentes curriculares que exijam manuseio de materiais e atividades práticas essenciais à formação. Permitiu também reconhecer que a atividade remota, em comparação com as atividades presenciais, fragiliza a socialização dos estudantes com ambientes críticos, criativos e participativos.
