Abstract
El poeta Gonzalo Millán escribió el poemario La ciudad en su exilio en Quebec en 1979 que, con algunas pequeñas correcciones, fue reeditado en Santiago en 1994. El libro en su conjunto es como una radiografía de la dictadura cívico militar que gobernó Chile desde 1973 a 1990. En el poema 48 Millán expresa y refleja la nostalgia y la melancolía que despierta el pasado en su vida de exiliado. Es un poema desgarrador puesto que se plantea una tarea imposible: volver atrás en el tiempo, a la vida anterior al cruento golpe militar; volver a la normalidad de una sociedad civilizada.
