Abstract
As the world economy becomes increasingly interdependent, and Canada broadens its position as a trading nation, the country's political and economic welfare will directly depend on its response and reaction to a wide range of economic regimes which govern the international economy.This book is an important and timely analysis of past and current Canadian foreign policy towards both the formal and less formal regimes which regulate such areas as international trade and financial transactions, international service industries, resources, and the environment.Written from a broad range of perspectives and including chapters by political scientists, economists, lawyers, and business and policy analysts, this book makes clearer the fascinating complexity of Canadian foreign economic policy.
