SARCOMA HISTIOCÍTICO EM CÃES: RELATO DE DOIS CASOS .

Abstract
O sarcoma histiocítico (SH) é um grupo de neoplasias malignas raras, originárias de células dendríticas que, por esse motivo, pode se desenvolver em quase todos os tecidos de forma localizada ou disseminada. Os sinais clínicos variam de acordo com os órgãos acometidos, sendo geralmente inespecíficos. Além de apresentar evolução feroz e agressiva, é pouco responsivo a tratamentos quimioterápicos, sendo considerada fatal após o envolvimento linfonadal. Esse trabalho teve como objetivo relatar dois casos de sarcoma histiocítico disseminado em cães atendidos em um Hospital Veterinário Escola do Mato Grosso do Sul. O primeiro animal, uma fêmea, labrador, de três anos, apresentava distensão abdominal pronunciada e emagrecimento progressivo, além de caquexia, dispneia e linfadenomegalia periférica. Exames hematológicos e citológicos foram realizados e evidenciaram alterações como linfopenia, toxicidade de neutrófilos e hiperalbuminemia. O exame radiográfico apresentou alterações compatíveis com metástase. A cadela veio a óbito 20 dias após a consulta inicial e foi encaminhada para necropsia, que determinou o diagnóstico de SH por meio da observação das células neoplásicas características em fígado, pulmão e córtex renal. O cadáver da segunda paciente, uma fêmea sem raça definida, foi encaminhada para o setor de anatomia patológica com histórico de aumento de volume abdominal, anorexia, emagrecimento e dispneia. A necropsia revelou envolvimento de baço, fígado, linfonodos mediastínico e hepático, intestino, mesentério, estômago, bexiga e rins pelo SH. Por seu caráter agressivo e sinais abrangentes, esse tipo de neoplasma deve ser considerado como diagnóstico diferencial a fim de estabelecer tratamento paliativo que aumente o tempo de sobrevida do paciente.
