The native silver occurrence at Batopilas, Chihuahua, Mexico, is like very few other deposits in the world.This deposit is grouped in a class of deposits known as "Five-Element Veins" (Lefebure 1996), characterized by native silver in a calcite host, with associated arsenic, cobalt, nickel, +/-bismuth, and uranium.Other examples of this type of silver deposit are: Cobalt, Ontario; Silver Islet, Ontario;
