Abstract
Objetivo. Determinar los factores de riesgo asociados a la insuficiencia renal crónica terminal en pacientes tratados en el Hospital Regional de Ica 2021 Metodología. No experimental, Transversal, Retrospectiva, Analítica, en una población de 283 pacientes que se encuentran en terapia sustitutiva de la función renal de donde se obtuvo una muestra de casos de 139 las que se compararon con 139 pacientes sin insuficiencia renal crónica terminal que fueron los controles. Resultados: Los pacientes estudiados presentan: 60 a más años el 64,7% (180), 54% (150) son de sexo masculino, 11,5% (32) tienen diabetes mellitus, 16,2% (45) tienen hipertensión arterial, 12,9% (36) consumen tabaco y 22,3% (62) consumen Alcohol. Los pacientes de 60 años a más tienen 1,8 veces más de riesgo de tener Terapia sustitutiva de la función renal que los pacientes menores de 60 años 55%(99) frente a 40,8% (40) respectivamente. Los pacientes masculinos tienen 1,7 veces más de riesgo de tener insuficiencia renal crónica terminal que los pacientes de sexo femenino 56%(84) frente a 43% (55) respectivamente. Los pacientes con diabetes mellitus tienen 2,9 veces más de riesgo de tener insuficiencia renal crónica terminal que los pacientes sin diabetes mellitus 71,9%(23) frente a 47,2% (116) respectivamente. Los pacientes con hipertensión arterial tienen 2,6 veces más de riesgo de tener insuficiencia renal crónica terminal que los pacientes sin hipertensión arterial 68,9%(31) frente a 46,4% (108) respectivamente. Los pacientes que consumen tabaco tienen 2,2 veces más de riesgo de tener insuficiencia renal crónica terminal que los pacientes que no consumen tabaco 66,7%(24) frente a 47,5% (115) respectivamente. Los pacientes que consumen alcohol tienen la misma probabilidad de tener insuficiencia renal crónica terminal que los pacientes que no consumen alcohol 56,5%(35) frente a 48,1% (104) respectivamente. Conclusión. Los factores de riesgo demográficos, clínico y de hábitos nocivos están asociados a la insuficiencia renal crónica terminal en pacientes tratados en el Hospital Regional de Ica 2021.
