Abstract
El siguiente manual de procedimientos constituye un instrumento de referencia tendiente a proporcionar lineamientos para una adecuada gestión de los recursos hídricos subterráneos y superficiales y orientar las tareas de técnicos y especialistas que operan los sistemas de agua potable y saneamiento de la provincia de Buenos Aires. El objetivo del trabajo es exponer las bases en relación a normas, criterios y parámetros vinculados a la explotación del agua subterránea, con la finalidad de facilitar la toma de decisiones por parte de autoridades y personal de las cooperativas, manteniendo la eficiencia y calidad del servicio. Las cuestiones sanitarias relacionadas con el control y la prevención de las enfermedades de tipo hídrico adquieren un rol fundamental en la distribución del agua potable y en la depuración de las aguas residuales y su disposición en el ambiente; por lo cual es importante que ambos sistemas se gestionen en forma conjunta.
