Abstract
We report an experimental realization of recently introduced Airy beams on incoherent background (ABIBs), which are structured random beams capable of defying diffraction in free space. We demonstrate that the laboratory realizations of ABIBs are capable of self-healing after having been obstructed by defects which make them attractive to optical communications, optical imaging, and information transfer applications.
