Abstract
Le présent essai répond à celui d’Éric Dacheux publié dans le dernier numéro de Communication, « Communication et solidarité démocratique. Repenser la stratégie des initiatives solidaires ». L’auteur dressait un cadre théorique pour repenser les initiatives solidaires et proposait des pistes pour combattre leur invisibilité publique. Nous reviendrons et enrichirons l’approche de « communication solidaire » qu’il met de l’avant en prenant appui sur le terrain empirique des associations de solidarité internationales (ASI) et en mobilisant la théorie pragmatiste de John Dewey. En effet, en visant à construire un monde plus juste en tant qu’associations, les ASI sont des organisations démocratiques de la société civile qui poursuivent un but solidaire. Il convient donc de développer une approche politique de la communication de solidarité internationale (CSI) cohérente avec la nature de ces associations.
