Quarter-life crisis (QLC) adalah perasaan khawatir yang hadir atas ketidakpastian kehidupan masa depan seputar hubungan, karir, dan kehidupan sosial yang terjadi sekitar usia 20-an. Efek relaksasi hujan dapat berperan dalam upaya mengatasi QLC. Hal inilah yang melatarbelakangi sebuah karya seni instalasi site-specific partisipatoris bertajuk “Mizzly Signals”. Tujuan penciptaan seni instalasi ini adalah untuk merepresentasikan pengalaman seseorang ketika mendapat pencerahan atau pe-tunjuk saat mengalami efek relaksasi ketika hujan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penciptaan karya seni instalasi ini adalah metode penciptaan oleh SP Gustami, yang meliputi tahap eksplorasi, tahap perancangan, dan tahap perwujudan. Teknik yang digunakan dalam proses perwujudan karya seni instalasi ini adalah teknik assembling serta teknik trial and error. Karya seni instalasi yang dihasil-kan berupa visualisasi suasana hujan dengan komponen-komponen berupa watercurtain, juntaian benang, matrix rain code dan rangkaian lampu interaktif yang bersifat site-specific pada tangga di gedung D18 Universitas Negeri Malang. Karya ini memerlukan adanya partisipasi publik dalam per-wujudannya. Kata Kunci: quarter-life crisis; seni instalasi; seni partisipatoris Quarter-life Crisis as a Source of Ideas for Creating Installation Art Quarter-life crisis (QLC) is a feeling of anxiety that comes with the uncertainty of future life around relationships, career and social life that occurs around the age of 20. The relaxing effect of rain can contribute to overcoming QLC. This is the background of a participatory site-specific installation artwork entitled "Mizzly Signals". The purpose of this installation art creation is to represent someone's experience when they receive an guidance or enlightenment when experiencing the relaxing effect of rain. The method used in the creation of this installation artwork is the creation method by SP Gustami, which includes the exploration stage, design stage, and realization stage. The techniques used in the process of realizing this installation artwork are assembling techniques and trial & error. The resulting installation artwork is a visualization of the rainy atmosphere with components in the form of a watercurtain, strands of thread, matrix rain code and a series of site-specific interactive lights on the stairs in the D18 building of the State University of Malang.
