Abstract
Jusqu’à présent, les passages bibliques définis habituellement comme « récits de vocation » ont été étudiés essentiellement selon une méthode historique. Reprendre ces textes, en particulier ceux qui concernent les prophètes, avec des critères littéraires peut renouveler leur interprétation, ainsi que la compréhension de leur rôle quant à la construction du personnage et du message spécifique déployé dans le livre qui le contient. Cet article d’Elena Di Pede reprend les principales interprétations classiques de ces textes, avant de montrer en quoi une méthode de type synchronique constitue un changement de paradigme de lecture. Il se penche enfin sur les enjeux qu’un tel changement implique dans l’intelligence de ces textes et de la figure du prophète et de son message.
