Abstract
Nous avons vu de nombreux changements positifs à la loi au Canada au cours de la décennie précédente pour mieux répondre aux besoins de personnes bispirituelles, trans, non binaires et non conformes au genre (2STNBNCG) – dont l’inclusion de l’identité et/ou l’expression de genre dans la législation sur les droits de la personne et la possibilité de changer son nom et son identifiant de genre sur les documents gouvernementaux sans devoir subir une intervention chirurgicale d’affirmation de genre. Nous avons également vu une augmentation de l’extrémisme au Canada, aux États-Unis et au Royaume-Uni, menant à une augmentation remarquable de haine anti-trans. Nos propres expériences et les résultats d’études de recherche montrent que les personnes 2STNBNCG subissent encore beaucoup de violence et d’injustice.
