Dans son roman Onze (L’Hexagone, 2011) sur les attentats du 11 septembre 2001, Annie Dulong propose une oeuvre qui joue sur les différences entre le vécu de l’intérieur et l’expérience de l’extérieur, ainsi que sur les distances (temporelles et expérientielles) ouvertes par la sur-venue de l’événement. À la lumière de la théorie de l’événement au sens événementi al proposée par le philosophe Claude Romano, l’auteur du présent article analyse les stratégies formelles et les postures narratives, ainsi que les discours et réactions des personnages dans leurs contributions à la représentation événementi ale des attentats terroristes, dans une venue qui excède le sens et les sens. Cela amène une meilleure compréhension de l’oeuvre fictionnelle de Dulong comme une meilleure compréhension des représentations possibles de l’événement.
