Abstract
Reconfigurable arrays used in RIS deployments require integration of biasing circuitry to control active elements to configure phase distribution. While their size increase, complexity, time and manufacturing cost rise. For the prototyping stage, we propose to get rid of biasing line and surface mounted elements integration to allow a static configuration using a dielectric screen covering the array without modifying its unit cells original design. The array can be then configured by different static screen configuration.
