Abstract
Cet article propose un portrait de la place qui est aujourd’hui accordée à la victime 1) dans la création de la loi pénale canadienne et 2) dans ses applications au niveau sentenciel. À travers une analyse comparative des politiques pénales des gouvernements Harper et Trudeau, la première partie de cet article offre une série de réflexions critiques sur les contours et les implications de la mobilisation de la victime au niveau politique. La seconde partie, à travers une analyse de jurisprudence, cherche à montrer comment le système juridique réagit face aux pressions victimaires provenant du politique.
