Dans le contexte d’éducation multiculturelle menée par le Conseil scolaire du District de Toronto, l’école apparaît comme un miroir de la société. Elle est le lieu de concentration des divergences qui existent entre les minorités culturelles et la société d’accueil. Les questions d’intégration scolaire et sociale sont au cœur des préoccupations, d’autant plus que le facteur socio-économique exerce une grande influence sur le processus d’intégration.Face à cette situation, les programmes menés à Toronto montrent leurs limites et témoignent d’une intégration à deux vitesses.
