Abstract
ResumenEl siguiente artculo tiene como propsito establecer que la propuesta educativa que Gabriela Mistral plante, por medio de diversos poemas y prosas, hay que comenzar a entenderla como praxis, ya que muchos de los planteamientos que ella hizo, al analizarlos en conjunto, permiten proponer una pedagoga mistraliana sociohistrica, la cual se basa en el rescate y respeto de los elementos culturales del otro y que tiene a la oralidad y mitologa como componentes centrales de un thos mistraliano.Por otro lado, observamos tambin que su praxis educativa se enmarca en cuatro dimensiones: tica, poltica, esttica y pedaggica.La metodologa de trabajo se bas en el anlisis de prosas y poemas y se us como criterio de seleccin todo aquello que tuviera relacin con la pedagoga, pero, adems, que el planteamiento representado en su prosa o poema tuviera relacin con su experiencia educativa.
