Abstract
ResumenEl siguiente artículo tiene como propósito establecer que la propuesta educativa que Gabriela Mistral planteó, por medio de diversos poemas y prosas, hay que comenzar a entenderla como praxis, ya que muchos de los planteamientos que ella hizo, al analizarlos en conjunto, permiten proponer una pedagogía mistraliana sociohistórica, la cual se basa en el rescate y respeto de los elementos culturales del otro y que tiene a la oralidad y mitología como componentes centrales de un êthos mistraliano.Por otro lado, observamos también que su praxis educativa se enmarca en cuatro dimensiones: ética, política, estética y pedagógica.La metodología de trabajo se basó en el análisis de prosas y poemas y se usó como criterio de selección todo aquello que tuviera relación con la pedagogía, pero, además, que el planteamiento representado en su prosa o poema tuviera relación con su experiencia educativa.
