Abstract
Au Québec, les jeunes sont nombreux à s’engager dans des projets professionnels d’entrepreneuriat social afin de conjuguer leurs besoins de participation sociale et politique et leur désir de réalisation personnelle et professionnelle. En nous appuyant sur une série d’entretiens approfondis auprès de ces jeunes, nous analysons le sens que prend cette expérience pour eux et les paradoxes que soulève ce phénomène social. Les jeunes expliquent qu’elles et ils sont engagés dans des projets entrepreneuriaux pour se sentir utiles et pour exprimer leurs valeurs de justice et de solidarité sociale. Tout en remettant en question les logiques du marché capitaliste, elles et ils utilisent le langage néolibéral de l’« entrepreneur de soi », ce qui soulève des paradoxes et met en lumière la pauvreté des discours collectivistes et politiques que la société leur propose.
