Abstract

Investigations were undertaken to Assessment of gut microflora in silkworm fed on mulberry leaf treated with Spirulina mediated TiO2NPs at Department of Sericulture, Forest College and Research Institute, Mettupalayam. The nanoparticles were synthesized with TiO2 using aqueous extract of Spirulina platensis as reducing and capping agent. The S. Platensis mediated TiO2NPs at the concentration of 50 ppm treated silkworms gut bacterial isolates were identified through morphological and biochemical characteristics. The identified microbes are Pseudomonas sp, Leuconostoc sp, Bacillus sp and Staphylococcus sp.
