Abstract
En esta ocasión, tenemos el placer de contar en nuestra entrevista con uno de los expertos más reconocidos a nivel internacional en el ámbito de las políticas de Educación Superior. Académico, investigador y político de dilatada experiencia y consolidada trayectoria, José Joaquín Brunner es actualmente profesor titular e investigador de la Universidad Diego Portales (UDP, Chile) y Director de la Cátedra UNESCO de Políticas Comparadas de Educación Superior. Además, fue director de la Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO) en Chile, su país natal, desde 1974-1986. Hace ahora dos décadas ocupó el cargo de Ministro Secretario General de Gobierno Chileno (1994-1998), también presidió el Comité Nacional de Acreditación de Programas de Pregrado y fue Vicepresidente del Consejo Superior de Educación. Ha publicado numerosos trabajos sobre sistemas de educación superior y sus políticas, la cultura y la modernización en América Latina y la sociedad chilena. Nuestro entrevistado ha sido consultor de Educación Superior para diversos organismos internacionales (Banco Mundial, OECD, BID, UNESCO, UNICEF, PNUD, International Development Research Center (IDRC, Canada), Swedish Agency for Research Cooperation (SAREC) de Suecia, la Fundación Ford, etc.) desempeñando dicha labor en más de 30 países de América Latina, África, Europa Central y del Este, Asia Central y Europa Occidental. También ha sido miembro del Consejo Asesor de la Agencia Nacional de Calidad y Acreditación de España (ANECA) y forma parte de la World Academy of Art and Science
