Abstract
En 2021, le gouvernement du Québec a modifié considérablement la législation relative à la protection des renseignements personnels. En effet, il a adopté, en septembre 2021, la loi modernisant certaines dispositions en matière de protection des renseignements personnels. Il a par ailleurs adopté en juin 2022 le Règlement sur la gestion des incidents de confidentialité. Nous verrons dans cet article quelles sont les principales dispositions modificatives dont les dates d’entrée en vigueur s’échelonnent sur 3 ans, soit en septembre 2022, 2023 et 2024, ainsi qu’un tableau comparatif entre la gestion des incidents de confidentialité selon la loi du Québec et la gestion des violations de données selon le RGPD.
