Abstract
Marie-Thérèse de Savoie (1756-1805) épouse le 16 novembre 1773, en la Chapelle royale de Versailles, le troisième petit-fils de Louis XV, Charles-Philippe, comte d’Artois, futur Charles X. Les Archives nationales à Paris possèdent un fonds de mémoires quittancés adressés à la comtesse de Bourbon-Busset, sa dame d’atours, par les fournisseurs de sa garde-robe. Ils furent établis entre 1773 et 1784. Le grand habit y est l’objet de nombreuses livraisons. Cette étude s’attache dans un premier temps à l’identification des éléments constitutifs de celui-ci. Elle détaille ensuite ce que nous apprenons de ses usages, de ses matériaux et de ses fournisseurs et conclut sur une évaluation de la proportion des grands habits dans le volume global des vêtements livrés à la comtesse.
