Abstract
Les ports jouent un rôle essentiel dans les processus de production et de distribution des entreprises ainsi que dans les réseaux mis en place par les prestataires logistiques et de transport. Toutefois, ils sont aussi susceptibles d’avoir à contribuer au développement des territoires dont ils font partie. Cet article vise à en savoir plus sur la façon dont ce double défi a des impacts sur les investissements faits par les ports locaux et régionaux. Àcet effet, 17 sites Internet individuels et 3 sites Internet collectifs de ports français ont été consultés. Les résultats montrent que les ports et les groupes de ports de l’échantillon se sont pour l’essentiel bien ajustés tant aux contraintes posées par les autorités publiques qu’aux besoins et attentes de leur clientèle actuelle et potentielle.
