Abstract
One of the main challenges in navigation of aerial vehicles such as drones is consistent and reliable access to visible light sources. Particularly, in indoor environments it is possible that in certain situations the system has to operate in less than ideal conditions. For instance, in hallways or outage scenarios the drone may well be within proximity of a single source. In such scenarios, drone navigation faces major challenges as relying on internal sensory measurements for orientation and acceleration is prone to drift and other detrimental effects for navigation. Therefore, in this work we investigate and propose a novel method for single light source navigation in limiting indoor environments. Particularly, we apply a geometric distance minimization algorithm in order to make position estimates with respect to a single light source that adaptively updates its state based on sensory input. Experimental results show a reduction in error of %65-%92 per dimension for a test drone trajectory.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
