Abstract
Quand se présente l’occasion, pour l’architecte, de s’intéresser à l’idée du sacré, certaines notions sont évoquées : habitation véritable et originelle, imagination (ou imaginaire) et récits fondateurs, enchantement ou ré-enchantement du monde. C’est une de ces occasions que le présent article relate, à travers la conception d’un projet de lieu sacré (sacred space) destiné à de jeunes Inuit du Nunavik. Le cadre conceptuel, principalement issu de la réflexion théorique en architecture, côtoie certaines notions importantes de la géographie culturelle et de l’anthropologie, ainsi que quelques images d’art inuit. Ensemble, ces idées lancent une aventure dans l’imagination, vécue et rêvée. Les projets présentés restent exploratoires : ils sont le fruit d’une activité pédagogique et n’ont donc pas été construits. Ils illustrent tout de même la richesse de la recherche-création en architecture.
