Abstract

O presente artigo, escrito na forma de ensaio, discute limitações metodológicas que a interação teórica entre psicanálise e estudos de gênero pode, por hipótese, superar. O ponto de partida é o olhar estrangeiro da psicanálise sobre o conhecimento histórico, no que se refere à problemática do sujeito de conhecimento e como ela é apreendida por pesquisadores de história. Em seguida, a partir da aproximação entre a psicanálise e a história, com a contribuição da historiadora Joan Scott, o argumento desdobra-se no sentido de examinar a importância da incomensurabilidade entre esses dois saberes para uma crítica do anacronismo presente em algumas concepções que regem a história entendida como disciplina, atualmente.Por fim, a remissão aos estudos da filósofa Judith Butler pretende demonstrar a importância das teorias da formação do sujeito como um dos caminhos de ingresso dos estudos de gênero como uma teoria da história de amplo impacto, capaz de reconfigurar os debates teóricos da área neste século XXI.
