Estrategias medioambientales y su influencia sobre el desempeño en el sector hotelero

Abstract
El objetivo de este estudio es mostrar la relación entre la variable medioambiental y el nivel de desempeño que alcanzan los hoteles. Para ello, se aplica un análisis cluster sobre una muestra de 114 hoteles de 3 a 5 estrellas de la provincia de Alicante en el que se identifican las estrategias medioambientales que implantan y se determina si existe una relación significativa entre su proactividad medioambiental y sus niveles de desempeño. Como resultado se hallan tres estrategias medioambientales: proactiva, acomodada y reactiva. Además, se observa que el grado de proactividad medioambiental de los hoteles no influye de forma significativa sobre su desempeño; no obstante, el desempeño aumenta conforme crece la proactividad medioambiental.
