Largement étudiés en France, le pamphlet et la polémique n’ont pas encore fait l’objet, au Québec, d’une histoire générale. En guise de contribution, je me propose ici de souligner le rôle prééminent des écrivains dans le développement d’une posture polémique, en insistant sur deux aspects : les contraintes éditoriales de leurs prises de parole et l’arrimage des débats aux références françaises, tant idéologiques que littéraires.
