Abstract
Las organizaciones están volviendo a adoptar estrategias de outsourcing para intentar alcanzar la competitividad, cambiando el concepto de negocio y centrándose en las competencias y capacidades claves de la empresa, externalizando aquellas actividades o funciones que son mejor gestionadas por empresas especializadas. EI outsourcing de las tecnologías de la información (TI) es una estrategia que está siendo adoptada de forma creciente especialmente en las áreas informáticas de las empresas, donde el mantenimiento, desarrollo y explotación de esas TI se realiza externamente. En las empresas pertenecientes a la industria hotelera, se está recurriendo a empresas especializadas en las actividades relacionadas con las TI. En el presente trabajo, se analizan los factores determinantes de la estrategia de outsourcing de las TI en la industria hotelera, estableciendo las relaciones existentes con distintas variables como el tamaño, categoría, tipo de negocio, nivel de integración, nivel de ocupación y dotación tecnológica.
