Perkembangan sistem informasi manajemen telah menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan yang cukup signifikan dalam pola pengambilan keputusan yang dilakukan oleh manajemen baik pada tingkat operasional maupun pimpinan pada semua jenjang. Meningkatnya penggunaan teknologi informasi, khususnya internet, telah membawa setiap orang dapat melaksanakan berbagai aktivitas dengan lebih akurat, berkualitas, dan tepat waktu. Dengan adanya sistem informasi tentang pendataan penyalahgunaan narkoba saat ini masih di catat secara manual dan belum terkomputerisasi, sehingga dalam membuat laporan-laporan sering mengalami keterlambatan dan redudansi data. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya sistem informasi berbasis Web yang akan membantu pegawai di Badan Narkotika Nasional (BNN) Kota Binjai untuk melaksanakan tugasnya dalam membuat laopran-laporan tentang penyalahgunaan narkoba pada setiap periode. Sistem Informasi ini dirancang, sudah berjalan dengan baik dan dapat memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat mengenai narkoba.Untuk itu dalam laporan Tugas Akhir ini penulis akan mengusulkan sebuah sistem informasi yang baru dalam sistem informasi berbasis web pada Badan Narkotika Nasional (BNN) Kota Binjai.
