A tripanossomíase bovina causada pelo Trypanosoma vivax e Tripanosoma congolense tem impacto negativo sobre a pecuária, gerando grande impacto econômico na produção de ruminantes, relacionadas com queda na produção, problemas reprodutivos e mortalidade. As formas sanguíneas são transmitidas diretamente do hospedeiro mamífero ao outro pela picada de insetos hematófagos ou por fômites, os sinais clínicos são influenciados por diversos fatores, como raça, idade e estado de sanidade dos animais, dentre os sinais clínicos desenvolvidos encontramos a anemia, perda de peso, queda na produção, infertilidade temporária, letargia, aborto e morte. O objetivo deste trabalho foi estimar a incidência parasitológica de Trypanosoma spp. em bovinos leiteiros no município de Autazes no Amazonas, Brasil. Foram amostrados 100 bovinos, apenas fêmeas lactantes, predominantemente da raça girolando em cinco propriedades rurais, adotando o método de amostragem aleatória estratificada (de dois a sete anos) e em clusters (propriedades), para diagnósticos de Trypanosoma vivax utilizando as técnicas de esfregaço sanguíneo periférico e sistêmico. Através da analise das laminas, foi encontrado um animal positivo na terceira propriedade e um na quinta, dessa forma os resultados mostram que dos 100 animais, apenas 2 apresentaram a inclusão do Trypanosoma spp no esfregaço sanguíneo periférico, portanto levando a uma incidência de 2%.
