Abstract
As Lhamas fazem parte da família Camelidae, sendo consideradas pseudo ruminantes. Elas apresentam peculiaridades anatômicas e fisiológicas que influenciam diretamente no manejo e protocolo anestésico. O presente relato teve como objetivo descrever a anestesia durante uma osteossíntese de olécrano nessa espécie, englobando os períodos pré, trans e pós-anestésico. Para contenção química foi utilizado midazolam (0,01 mg/kg), cetamina (3 mg/kg) e xilazina (0,15 mg/kg), via intramuscular (IM). A Indução anestésica foi realizada com propofol via intravenosa (IV), na dose de 1 mg/kg. Paciente foi mantida sob anestesia geral inalatória com o isoflurano diluído em oxigênio 100% na taxa de 2 L/min. Os parâmetros avaliados durante a cirurgia foram eletrocardiograma (ECG), frequência cardíaca, frequência respiratória, saturação de oxihemoglobina e pressão arterial direta. Além disso, a analgesia foi mantida na infusão de cetamina, com variação da taxa de 1,2 - 1,8 mg/kg/hora. No pós-operatório, os antibióticos utilizados foram ceftiofur (4,4 mg/kg) e gentamicina (4 mg/kg), via IV. Além disso, foi realizada aplicação de dimetilsulfóxido (DMSO) 500 mg/kg, diluído em 1 litro de ringer lactato IV e para analgesia foi realizada com cetamina (1 mg/kg), BID, via SC; dipirona (20 mg/kg) BID, via IM e fenilbutazona (4,4 mg/kg) SID, via IM. Conclui-se que o manejo anestésico realizado proporcionou um procedimento sem intercorrências com base na estabilidade dos parâmetros, que se mantiveram dentro dos valores de normalidade, e com rápida recuperação.
