Abstract
En este artículo se exponen algunos elementos fundamentales para replantear la enseñanza-aprendizaje de las matemáticas más allá del proyecto economicista impuesto actualmente por el neoliberalismo: el proyecto que reduce al estudiante a capital humano y convierte la escuela en un sitio de adquisición de habilidades para la economía de mercado. Se sugiere la importancia de cuestionar la orientación de los saberes que ofrece la escuela y el tipo de individuo que la escuela forma en su quehacer diario. El replanteamiento de la enseñanza-aprendizaje de las matemáticas que se esboza en este artículo se enmarca en una perspectiva en la que la educación matemática se concibe como un proyecto social, político, histórico y cultural para la formación de individuos éticos y reflexivos, capaces de posicionarse críticamente en prácticas matemáticas inclusivas y solidarias, y de imaginar nuevas posibilidades de acción y pensamiento.
