Abstract
Re sumo: A adoção é entendida no contexto brasileiro como um ato excepcional e irrevogável.Dados estatísticos apresentam números de adoções, porém não existem estatísticas oficiais sobre o retorno de crianças/adolescentes aos acolhimentos institucionais após adoção, ainda que pesquisas apontem a ocorrência do fenômeno.Este estudo buscou mapear a ocorrência do fenômeno da dissolução da adoção no estado do RS entre os anos de 2018 e 2020.Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva e de análise documental, analisando oito processos em que as crianças/adolescentes retornaram ao acolhimento institucional após a legalização da adoção.Os dados foram disponibilizados pelo CIJ-RS, referindo a totalidade de casos notificados.Realizaram-se análises descritivas, a fim de apresentar o mapeamento das características dos casos.Os resultados apontaram que existe descumprimento no que é previsto na legislação em diferentes âmbitos, em especial nos encaminhamentos dados após a dissolução da adoção.Sugerem-se mais estudos sobre a dissolução da adoção no âmbito nacional.
