Алтын Орда– Шығыс және Батыс елдері арасында халықаралық қатынастарды дамытуға, сауда және мәдени байланыстарды нығайтуға үлесін қосқан. ХІХ ғасырдың бірінші ширегінен бастап Алтын Орда тарихын әртүрлі елдердің ғалымдары зерттеп келеді және Алтын Орда тарихы негізінен шығыс деректерінің аясында зерттелгені көпшілікке аян. Алтын Орда тарихын зерттеуде батыс еуропалық деректер мен зерттеулердің өзіндік орны бар. Сведения о политических, экономических отношениях и брачной политике между Золотой Ордой и Византией можно найти из латинских и турецких источников и исследований. Исследование, основанное на западных данных, добавляет новые факты к некоторым аспектам этого периода. Since the first quarter of the 19th century, the history of the Golden Horde has been studied by scientists from different countries, and for many it is obvious that the history of the Golden Horde is studied mainly in the context of Eastern sources. Western European sources also have their place in the study of the history of the Golden Horde. From Western sources, one can find original data on the territory and borders of the Golden Horde, the name of the state, cities, the development of its culture, as well as some issues of political history. In particular, from Western European sources and studies, one can draw information about the cultural and political relations between Berke Khan and Baibars Sultan, about the Islamic religion in the Golden Horde, about the war with the Iranian rulers of the Hulaguids, about the alliance between the Golden Horde and Egypt. Information about political, economic relations and marriage policy between the Golden Horde and Byzantium can be found from Latin and Turkish sources and studies. A study based on Western data adds new facts to some aspects of this period. Western sources and historiography on the history of the Golden Horde can provide original new ideas and controversial views, enriching the heritage of the history of the Golden Horde.
