Abstract
The LargesT Fish ever CaughT in ManiToba A 184.6 kg lake sturgeon caught in the Roseau River, east of Dominion City, by Sandy Waddell (back row, fifth from left in picture), on October 3, 1903.The fish was a female "full of roe." It was found in a pool in the Roseau River by Sandy's son, Jim (back row, fourth from left in picture), who called his dad for help.Sandy killed it with an axe and they roped it and dragged it from the river with Sandy's team of horses.They loaded it onto a seven-foot Democrat wagon and hauled it to Dominion City, where it was measured and weighed at the grain elevator, and this picture was taken.
