Abstract
Este trabalho pretende analisar inicialmente a presença crescente de mulheres diretoras na cinematografia brasileira contemporânea – que aqui compreende desde o movimento denominado Cinema da Retomada até os dias de hoje. Focalizando a importância de um cinema feito por/sobre mulheres, uma minoria ainda subalternizada no que compete a poder e legitimidade, se procurará investigar como cada uma delas, ao tomar o lugar de fala e portar-se como o sujeito de suas próprias representações, tende a contribuir para o desmonte do discurso dominante inerente ao homem, e, portanto, fazer dos seus filmes espaços de criação de novos enunciados, feministas ou não, capazes de apreender o discurso habitual sobre o gênero e a sexualidade como um conjunto de proposições repetidas que adquirem a aparência de verdade.
