Abstract
Sawarna Tourism Village is a tourist village that relies on natural potential and local rural wisdom, crafts, culinary specialties from Sawrna Tourism Village, souvenirs and so on, thereby adding to the beauty and additional attractions of Sawarna Tourism.However, the limited promotional programs carried out mean that there are still many people who do not know about the existence of beauty objects managed by the community.The objective of the study is to examine the relationship between social media information, brand awareness, authenticity variables mediated by the destination attribute, and their effect on the intention to visit the Sawarna Tourism Village.The study, utilizing the purposive sampling technique.The data were collected through social media platforms from individuals aged 17 and above, residing in Jabodetabek, who have previously traveled as tourists and utilize social media for likes, posts, and sharing.Three aspects of destination authenticity were examined according to the literature: Objectivity and Authenticity, Existential Authenticity, and Constructive Authenticity.The collected data, comprising responses from 234 participants, were subjected to analysis using the PLS-SEM program.This study aims to assess authenticity attributes unique to tourism villages and consumer behavior issues.It makes a significant contribution to knowledge in the realms of management and marketing, as well as within the context of tourism destinations and tourist villages.Additionally, it presents crucial implications for Pokdarwis (Tourism Awareness Groups) and researchers.This research holds significant importance for managers and decision-makers engaged in sustainable rural tourism destinations.It encompasses aspects of planning, marketing, and management for rural tourist destinations.This research contributes to the expansion of knowledge regarding rural tourism within the context of developing countries or emerging markets.Additionally, it endeavors to formulate criteria for evaluating the quality of rural tourism destinations.The results indicate that all hypotheses are supported.Brand awareness, authenticity, and social media information are presented as independent variables, while destination attributes serve as a mediation variable, and intention to visit is the dependent variable.The implication of this study is that the conceptual model effectively explains tourist intentions, with all constructs having a positive impact on visitor intentions.It can be concluded that authenticity plays a role in shaping tourist intentions through its influence on tourists' desires.Moreover, brand awareness can impact potential visitors, aiding them in recognizing and recalling destinations or tourist attractions in Sawarna.As a result, tourists develop an intention to visit the village.The attributes of the tourist village under improvement encompass atmosphere, services, environment, and servicescape, all of which contribute to attracting and prolonging tourists' stays at the destination.
