Abstract
O presente estudo traz um debate sobre o ensino da Língua Inglesa (LI) na Educação Escolar Quilombola (EEQ), em 3 escolas quilombolas do município de Salvaterra na Amazônia Marajoara. A pesquisa analisou o ensino da LI e seus desdobramentos na EEQ, permitindo evidenciar outras perspectivas para o ensino do idioma. Metodologicamente, a pesquisa utilizou a Concepção de Linguagem bakhtiniana (2003, 2010, 2011) e como referencial analítico a Linguística Aplicada (LA). Os resultados da pesquisa evidenciaram que a valorização das questões identitárias dos estudantes quilombolas nas aulas de LI da EEQ ainda é um campo desafiador na proposta da EEQ.
