Abstract
This article points out questions related to the composition of a number of films by the canadian filmmaker Michael Snow, beginning with commentaries on his work and then analyzing his film Wavelength (1967). At first, it will present a definition of filmic composition based on Jacques Aumont and Hollis Frampton. In addition, certain patterns studied by these and other authors will be clarified, exposing recurring themes concerning the composition in film. Snow's work will then be studied in its general aspects, to which will follow an analysis of one of his films and an attempt to establish relations between the topics so far described.
