Abstract
Social learning is an extremely common and adaptive form of learning that may be defined as learning via social interaction and/or social observation. The underlying neurobiological mechanisms that regulate social learning are not well understood. A common and efficient test of social learning in animals is the social transmission of food preference (STFP) paradigm. The STFP has implicated many systems in social learning including the dorsal hippocampus (DH), the dopamine (DA), and gonadal hormones.
